Dear host family.

I am writing this letter, in hopes of finding my future American host family.

My name is Alba Chloé, I am 15 years old, and I come from Denmark. I am an only child and live with my mother. I spend last summer in New York with my mother, which I enjoyed very much, so I can’t wait to spend a whole high school year in the US.

My interests include lots of reading, and my favorite book series is currently devils night by Penelope Douglas. Besides reading I love music with my whole heart, and I’d say I’m kind of a music addict. My personal favorite artists and bands are definitely The Neighborhood, The Weeknd, Chase Atlantic and Lana Del Rey. I really love baking as well, personally – I’d say cinnamon rolls are my specialty. I also enjoy cooking, especially Italian dishes like pasta and ravioli, since that’s my favorite food. Speaking about food, I don’t eat pork and beef, but I do eat Chicken, fish, and turkey and I’m of course happy to help in the kitchen.

My absolute favorite time of the year is the beautiful autumn.To me, autumn includes reading, baking cinnamon rolls, watching Tim Burton movies and pumpkin carving. My personal highlight of the year is Halloween, I’ve loved Halloween for as long as I can remember. I usually celebrate Halloween with my friends and family, we either go to an amusement park or hang out and watch horror movies. Halloween Is not a very celebrated holiday in Denmark, which is why I am very excited to cerebrate my favorite holiday in the US.

I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. My friends and I often have sleepovers, we have baking and movie marathons, study dates at cafes and go to the mall. My family is not that big, so when I’m with family, its mostly just me, my mother, and my grandparents. My mother and I sometimes go ice skating together, play badminton and board games together. I’ve lived alone with my mother almost my entire life, since I don’t know my father. Me and my mother are pretty much best friends, we´ve traveled together many times, and we rarely never argue.

I spend a lot of my time on school homework and extra credit work as I take my school very seriously, and always wanna try my best to achieve best possible results. My favorite subjects are definitely English, math and also biology since I have future dreams about studying medicine.

If you ask about my characteristics, I’d say I am a kindhearted, loyal, and responsible person.
