Hello! My name is Carlos, and I am cheerful, kind, sincere, talkative, friendly and athletic. I have been playing soccer since I was five to thirteen years old, but during this time I also played paddle tennis and swimming. These last two years I’ve been playing rugby.
My religion is very important to me, but I will respect you if you have another faith. I have friends who are Muslims, Mormons even atheists and I am Roman Catholic. I am baptized. I have made the First Communion and I have been confirmed.
Now I am going to give you some clues about my country: my grandparents live in an archipelago, but I do not live with them I live in a peninsula with my family. Most people in my country practice catholic religion. There were kings that were named like. Can you guess where I’m from?
My family: my father was born in the archipelago I told you about before. My mother was born in the south of the peninsula. My brother is older. We all live in the same house also, I have my four grandparents in one archipelago and others in the south of my country.
I’m going to talk about my academic background. I’m in ninth grade, my school is very large and has many basketball and soccer fields, it has a place in the yard where we can buy everything from sandals to candy, my school is divided into children’s, elementary, that, baccalaureate and basic vocational training. In addition, it has 4 fountains to drink water and two bathrooms for boys and two for girls.
My friends are from different places. I have changed schools once and I have many friends where my grandparents live although I only see them in winter and in summer.
I will go in depth on the trips that I have done from the oldest to the most recent. Let me begin with: when I was 7 years old I went with my family to London with friends and we visited many monuments and what I liked the most was the Science Museum, the next year we returned but we only saw the Science Museum after we went to Bristol to see the city, the next year we also went to England but to Chester to visit my brother’s host family. The following year we did the same thing only in Dublin to see the family and the following year my brother went to the United States with this same program and we went to see him and I liked it a lot, they even showed us the school and I was allowed to enter one of their classes. Last year I went alone to Ireland with a host family and the family had 3 children from 5 years to 3 months and animals on farms and I did not have any problems. Last year I also travelled to Belgium, France and Andorra.
In my house, I usually go with my parents or they give me a list and I go to the supermarket near the house. I help at home, before we had dishwasher, I liked to do the dishes and even a few years ago I cleaned the dishes to my mother’s friends. These days I don’t have many responsibilities at home but I would not mind cleaning the dishes or mopping if while I have music or I can talk to someone. Usually it is my job to take out the trash whenever it is full. I always make my bed and I order and clean my room and if my parents ask me for help with their room I help them in what I can do. The other things I do at home is laundry.
There are times I have doubts about the trip to the United States, but this is my personality. I think about how I could get integrated or get used to life there or if I will be lost or if I will get homesick or if the family that chooses me will be happy with me and things like that. I do not predict the future, but I hope it is the best for me and for those around me.
This summer I spent with my grandparents in the archipelago where they live and with my friends that I have there we spend all the time going to an amusement park, and I had a great time since I did not have to go to school for a long time and those days were better as every summer after I went south of country and spend time with my other grandparents and my cousins there celebrate my birthday and I had a great time since we went to a wok buffet with almost my whole family.
In winter, we go with my grandparents, and I will be with them as every year. Then I will return to my home, and then in the summer we go to the south of my country. Going back and forth like this is our tradition and it makes life interesting.
I am going to talk about my virtues and defects. If I am passionate about something I am committed, but if not then instead I can be less committed. Maybe this is how most people are.
Thank you for spending your time reading this, I hope you enjoyed it and I hope to have clarified many doubts. I am impressed that there are people who give their home to people they do not know so that I can learn about another culture.
Thanks and good bye!
