LETTER FROM Eduardo

Eduardo

Dear Host Family,

Thank you for taking your time to read my letter and taking it into consideration. I hope you like it!

Hello, I’m Eduardo. I’m fifteen and I was born and raised in Spain, in a city not too far from the seaside. At home, I live with my mother, my father and my brother. My father works as a farmer in a greenhouse, and my mother works at home as a housewife. My family is my biggest supporter. They are very proud of what I do and have always done their best for me. We are a close family, we love spending time together travelling. Actually, we are planning a new travel to London to get new experiences. So I’m fond of travelling!

As for my part, I would describe myself as a cheerful, active, friendly person. I’m quite communicative and I like to talk to people, as well. I always try to cheer people up! That’s why I make friends easily and meet many people. However, I sometimes get on my nerves when things go wrong, and it’s something I’m trying to control more and more. Despite of this, I think I’m a good applicant due to my ability to adapt to new routines easily.

As for my hobbies, I enjoy a lot playing tennis. I have played it for 7 year. I’m also into attending gigs and listening to pop music. Moreover, baking is something I really love too. I love doing chocolate muffins, but what I really enjoy eating is Spanish omelette and fried chicken with chips. With the whole family, we celebrate New Year’s Eve and the 6th January when we swap some presents to celebrate wise men day. We also celebrate Easter together. During Easter and summer holidays, we tend to travel. The most outstanding trip was a cruise by the Mediterranean sea.

I’m a very adventurous person. I know that being an exchange student is a challenging decision, but I’m keen on living incredible experiences. I would like to know the culture of the USA and how to get involved in a foreign family. This will teach me how to become more independent and to discover how people live in other parts of the world. I don’t have preferences for families, I only want them to treat me correctly and establish a cultural exchange. I hope to introduce you to Spanish culture and traditions, and learn as much as I can from you.

I’m ready to live this breathtaking experience, I can’t wait more! I hope we get along very well, can’t wait to meet you!

Yours sincerely,

Eduardo
