Dear potential host family,
Thank you for spending time reading this. I’m looking forward to knowing you; we’ve never met before, so let me introduce myself.
I’m a teenager from a historic city in the north of Italy. I live here with my parents, my little sister and my brother; although I deeply love this place, I’ve always had the intention to travel and leave it in favor of the discovery of new experiences. That is probably the main reason why I’ve chosen to spend a semester abroad, in particular in the U.S.A; meeting new people not only from a different country, but also from a different continent, is what really thrills me.
I love spending my free time reading, running (I’ve been practicing track and field for some years now, and I train one hour and a half daily), hanging out with friends and doing all the types of activity that teenagers of my age usually do. Beside my family, my friends are probably the most important people in my life. I enjoy staying with them; we have a really good time together doing all sorts of things, or simply talking about this and that. They would describe me as an open-minded, funny and talkative person.
Currently, I’m attending a school near my house. Our school system is quite different from the American one, and we have different types of high schools; I go to the “scientific” one (we study more in detail scientific subjects than, for example, the guys from the language high school). This particular study path will probably lead me to choose a university course related to math, such as Engineering.
I hope we will learn many thing together during my semester in the States.
