LETTER FROM Finn

Finn

My name is Finn, and I am living in a small, classic midage town in the center of Germany. The city is a small but beautiful university-city.

I have two younger sisters. We live all together in a green suburb at the edge of the city. My parents are physicians. During the week (Mo-Fri) my dad is working apart from our city in a hospital as a chairman of an anesthesia department. My mom is a gynecologist and she has her own medical office close to our town.

In the moment I am attending a relatively small school with about 560 students, but it is probably the prettiest school in the area because it is located in a very green and beautiful landscape.

In my free time I like to meet my friends and have fun with them. In the last years I practiced several sports like soccer, tennis, hockey and skiing. But the most challenging sport during the week is basketball. Accordingly, basketball is my favorite hobby in my free time. Apart from practicing sport I appreciate watching NBA games and gathering all news about the NBA teams and players. One of my greatest dreams is visiting a NBA game. My favorite players are Lebron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo. In winter time I love to go skiing with my family in the Austrian alps.

I already gain some experience about living in other countries. I traveled twice to UK and once to Spain for a student exchange. Next to practicing a language, the most important experience in a foreign country was getting to know new customs and cultures. Especially in Spain I enjoyed living in a spanish family during their everyday life. Thereby I got a lot of nice and interesting impressions. Basically, it came naturally to me integrating myself in a new culture. This experience is one of the most important motivations for the decision to live in a family abroad for a longer period (i.e. some months).

I would be happy to get selected by a nice family which loves to share their culture and their daily life with me.
