“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone”

“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone”

Exchange student Cristina from Spain had the opportunity to participate in a very intriguing aspect of the American culture. Although she was initially apprehensive, she decided to take part in the Hamilton High School “Calendar Girl” pageant. She shares: “I really had to step out of my comfort zone. In Spain, we do not have events like this at our schools. I am so happy I decided to do it. I had so much fun and will never forget this experience!”

Cristina wowed the judges during the interview and was awarded the very prestigious Interview Award. She was selected from a pool of 41 contestants. Most importantly, Cristina gained confidence and made memories that will last a lifetime. She adds: ” I encourage exchange students to say ‘yes’ to new things such as pageants, plays, and sports. You are here to challenge yourself to learn through new experiences. ”

We are very proud of Cristina and know she will do great things in life.
