Dear host family:

First and foremost, I would like to say that I am so thankful you are giving me an opportunity to live in your country which has always seemed amazing to me, and I am sure that I will live unforgettable experiences and learn your many traditions.

My name is Natalia, and I am a fifteen year-old girl who lives in Santander, Spain, with my lovely family. My two older brothers went to the United States some years ago to study for the whole course. Therefore, I am so excited to go there and have an amazing and unique experience where I hope to learn and improve my English and also meet new people. The idea of study in United Stated is not difficult because my brothers have always spoken well to me about their experience and the good relationship, they still have with their host families. I have been studying English at school since I was five, but going to the United States will help me to make a progress about my knowledge of English.

We are five in our family. My mother, who is called Patricia, is 50 and she is a fantastic mum because she is always giving advice and supporting me. She works as a nurse in a dialysis center near my house. My father is called Pablo, he is 52. He is sportive, so strong and gentle. Every year he plans a trip for the whole family. He works as an informatic technician. When he is off from work, he loves dancing with my mum, they are very good dancers. I have two older brothers, called Sergio who is 22 years old and Jaime who is 20. They live together in Madrid, the capital of Spain. Both are studying engineering at university. They also love sport and return to our home whenever they can. We have a Shitzu dog, called Laska, which is a lovely dog. She has been part of our family since she was a puppy.

I consider myself a very happy, sensible, self-sufficient, and energetic person who loves to spend good time with the family watching a movie or going for a walk. I tend to be optimistic and mature in bad times. I love animals like dogs or horses, I have been riding horses for a long time. I also like to play sports every day I can, I currently play soccer in a women’s team where I have many friends and we have a great time. In winter my main occupation are studies and sports activities, And in summer I like to hang out with my friends and do a lot of activities outdoors. I consider myself an organized girl for the studies, I always tried to improve my marks in all subjects. In my free time I like to hang out with my friends, I recognize that I have good friends and I always try to help them when they are in difficult times. And in summer I like to hang out with my friends and do a lot of activities outdoors.

I always wanted to live in a foreign country, I hope this year in the United States would be very good and quite instructive. I hope you enjoy my letter which you have been able to know a little bit more about me.
