LETTER FROM Pitchanaree

Pitchanaree

My name is Pitchanaree. You can call me Nampueng. In Thai, Nampueng means honey. I love to learn English so now I am studying in English program at my high school in Thailand. I study the same school with my mother. It is in the South of Thailand. There are many beautiful beaches. I live in a big town. My house is in downtown. I am friendly and optimistic so these make me have a lot of lovely friends. In my free time, I love to listen to music. I am good at Thai dancing. I have joined a cheerleading competition for three years. It makes me have more confident and patience. So I love this activity so much.

My ambition is to be an exchange student in the United States. I expect to stay with a warm and kind host family in the United States. In 10 months, I hope to exchange culture with my future host family such as Thai language, Thai dancing and Thai food. I would like to learn new things and meet new people in different cultures. I expect to have a good memory with them. I would like my future host family share their culture with me and see me like a member of their family.

In my family, there are 4 people; my father, my mother, my brother and me. My father is a government officer and leader in our sub-district. He is kind and playful. He likes shooting for his hobby and sometimes I go with him. My mother is a businesswoman. She has a construction company. She has 4 trucks. She is very strong woman. I always go jogging in the park with her. My older brother studies in the fourth year in the university. He comes back home once a month. We enjoy going to the sea together. He likes to take photos for me so he doesn’t have many photos for himself. We go to the beach twice a month. If it is a rainy season, we decide to visit my grandparents in the country. In August, it is a fruit season. My family often goes to pick up the fruits from our fruit farm such as rambutan, mangosteen, wollongong and durian for selling in front of my grandparent’s house.

I go to school at 7:30 a.m. I start the lesson at 8:00 a.m. I study 8 subjects a day. I have lunch with my friends at school. In our free time, we usually dance for exercise together. I like drama class and English the best. In my future, I would like to be an ambassador. I expect to speak English very well because it is important for my future job. My family expects me to have new experience and they would like me to speak English very well and adjust myself to other people in different cultures.
