| Hi dear future host family. My name is Ragna and I`m from Germany. I`m now gonna tell you some things about my family and about me. I think if my friends and my family would have to describe me they`d probably be saying that I´m pretty open that I am funny and maybe that I´m (at least most of the time) trying to be empathetic. My strengths are that I almost always try to find a solution if something ain’t working out the way I imagined it to and I`d also say I´m a pretty positive person. One of my weaknesses is that I´m probably sometimes a bit lazy hahah. I like to play the piano which I’ve been playing for about 3 years. I do acting classes and in the holidays I really enjoy horse riding. I actually enjoy a lot . I also did surf one time and I also once participated at a kite surfing class. I also like soccer and love ice skating. And I really enjoy painting and creating. I`d really love to try something new in the US. Our family isn’t one with many traditions but one of them which I really like is I think that when it’s sommer-holiday we always go to this one camping place and we always buy this one candy that also only tastes good in those holidays. My favourite food is pasta and I really enjoy cooking as well. Now about my family, It`s my mom, Kai my stepdad (since I was 6 I think) and It`s my two cats Amy and Oscar. To the closest family also belong my grandma and my aunt my uncle and my little cousins. But we only visit them in the holidays because they live around 2 hours away from us. What I enjoy the most with my family are the holidays as well because we always do really cool and special things. Last holiday for example we went paddling in Sweden and the year before we visited Scotland and England. We went hiking and went for a whale watching tour. Another very funny thing we do is just watching movies or series. It`s pretty funny because Kai is always commenting EVERYTHING. The last series we watched was “Gossip Girl” and he kept saying:”No why are they doing that that`s so stupid! No don`t do that!!!” It was pretty funny. For this experience I hope I get to know another culture different from mine and I also hope to grow more confident and self-contained. I am really happy and excited for this experience and learn and grow out of it. I Hope to see you soon Ragna |
