Hello! First of all, I have to say thank you for considering me a member of your family the next year in the USA.

My name is Rebeca Zoe, I´m 14 years old and I live in a Little city in the south part of Spain, its known because the province which is situated in it makes the best olive oil of the whole world. Next, I´m going to tell you a little bit about my family. It´s formed by: my father, called Jose, he is a businessman and he enjoys doing triathlon, my mother, called Marina, she is a nurse and she loves doing mountain bike and my big sister, called Lucia, she also went to a different country to study and last but not least, my cat, called `Birutas´. As I’ve always lived with a big sister, it would be really nice if my host sibling form USA were as my age or smaller, you know, for changing the typical scene of my life in Spain.

Now, I´m going to talk about my personality. I consider me like a really responsible person, I do the things you tell me, I don’t need anyone repeating me things multiple times, for example, I do homework and study by myself or I get up with an alarm everyday by myself too. I´m a person who loves meeting new people, this is a reason why I´m really exciting for going to study to a new country, I want to learn form other people, such as: you, my host family, my teachers, my classmates and my sports partners. I love animals y spend such a good time with them, it would be really nice if my host family had any type of pet.

If you ask any of my family members or friends to describe me, they would automatically say that I’m a very sociable and friendly person. At first, I can be a little bit embarrassing, but only the first time I meet someone new. Sometimes, I can be really impatient, for example now, that I´m counting the days for going to the USA! I’m a honest person and I love helping my friends.

My principal hobby is swimming, I love swimming, is my passion. I swim since I was 4 years old, and I go to competitions too. I will do some races with you if you dare to compete with me! However, I would love to try another type of sport in the USA. I had also practiced different sports in the past such as rhythmic gymnastics, cycling and athletics. We would have a good time doing different sports together. I´m keen on cooking, I promise you that I will cook you some typical Spanish food, such as `paella´, `potato omelet´ and `gazpacho´. Since I was 6 years old I go to a Scout group, I really enjoy the activities and the camps.

I’m going to go to the USA to study what is 4º ESO in Spain, I would like to study in USA because I think it could be a really amazing year and a fantastic opportunity for me to learn a new culture and meet awesome people. I´m really excited to learn new things and values from my classmates, my teacher and you, my host family. You will also learn a lot of things of me and the Spanish culture, I will be like a teacher to you! I would enjoy a lot doing new activities with you and spending time together. It would be an enjoyable idea if I prepare a presentation of interesting things from Spain to my classmates, by this way, they will be interested about coming to Spain to visit the country and me, we could make a party only for USA people here in Spain!

I don’t know you yet, but I´m sure you are a great family and I hope that when my academic year in United Estates finish, both of us feel like a family, but an especial family, in the distance. Maybe, if you like the things that I tell you from Spain, you could come to Spain!
