Hello! and Sawasdee in Thai. Firstly, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Sahassawas, nickname is Rid. I live in Thailand with my mother. I am studying at a high school.
My English skills are good but I like to study and practice more. My hobby is playing musical instruments. My dream is to be a music producer. I love music very much because it makes me happy and I consider it some as meditation. I started playing drum when I was 13 years old at school and my home. At school I play drum with my band and I have performed in my school’s events 7 times. Also now I started playing piano. I like listening to international songs. It makes me practice my English skills from listening to them by translating the lyrics by myself. So I can understand the meaning of each song and I like to rap. And I like watching movies. My favorite movies are sci-fi and drama. My favorite sports are soccer and basketball. My favorite subjects are English and Arts. On holidays, I like to go to the mall because I like to meet new friends and watching movies with my close friends. I like to eat Japanese food and pizza.
About my character is that I like to help people who have problems. I am a helpful person. I like to learn something new, and I love to exercise. Also, I can do household chores such as laundry, washing the dishes, cleaning the house and cooking a little bit.
In English class, I like to talk with foreigner teacher. There are many friends in the class who are not good at English. They always ask me to help them and I feel very happy every time I can help them.
I have been to Japan. It was very excited and impressed. The reason that I want to be an exchange student in America is that I like to experience something new and different. I will learn how to be a great music producer in America. I want to learn American culture such as US high school life, American family experience and American music producer.
Thank you for the program for the opportunity of this great experience in America. I hope to get a good memory and a warm welcome from my host family.
