LETTER FROM Laura

Laura

Dear Future Host Family,

It’s Laura. If something can define me, that is curiosity. Since childhood, I’ve sought to understand the unknown, always asking why and how. My family—my father Antonio, mother Belen, and younger brother—shapes my daily life. Exploring malls with Mom and enjoying movies with my brother are cherished moments. I’m determined and resourceful, seeing challenges as opportunities to learn. Perfectionism drives me, yet I’m also spontaneous; friends count on me for impromptu plans and laughter-filled moments.

Reading and cinema captivate me—I delve into characters’ minds and relish mystery and horror. I’m passionate about diverse subjects: physics, psychology, philosophy, economics, and more. While not inherently sporty, I embrace physical activities—rollerblading, biking, running—and aim to explore new sports, recognizing their significance abroad.

Christmas is my favorite, embodying tradition, nostalgia, and delightful Spanish cuisine, although I’m not fond of fish or seafood. Still, I’m open to new culinary experiences. Desserts like vanilla ice cream and dark chocolate hold a special place in my heart.

I’m eager to maximize this experience, contributing academically and culturally. Exploring teaching methods and their impact on learning is a priority. I seek maturity, independence, and cross-cultural understanding, aiming to improve my English in social settings and engaging in extracurriculars. Ideally, I hope for a welcoming, adventurous family with an active lifestyle and a penchant for diverse discussions.

Thank you so much for taking your time in reading this letter and taking your time in considering me.

Warm regards,

Laura
