Dear Host Family,

My name is Alessandro, I am 16 years old and I live in Bologna, a quite big city located in the North of Italy. I live with my father, who is an architect, and my mother, who is a public employee. I love my family very much, and I enjoy spending weekends with my relatives.

After studying for a while if I need to, I usually spend my free time with my friends or playing video games. I don’t do any sports at the moment, but I sometimes play basketball with my mates at the court. I am also a supporter of my home town’s basketball team, and I love watching them play live.

At school I prefer studying science related subjects like Math, Physics or Chemistry, since I find them very interesting. After school I usually study or revise for a test and when I’m done I hang out with my friends or I play video games. At night I often have dinner with my parents, but sometimes we prefer eating at a restaurant. I also enjoy cooking sometimes, but I think eating is the best part about food, I usually don’t eat very much, but I can eat almost anything.

I can describe myself as curious and clever, but lazy and shy, and from this experience I hope to improve my problem solving and time management skills, as well as making new friends and learning about American culture, food and traditions.
