Dear future host family,

my name is Giacomo, I live in Italy with my family composed of my mom, my dad and my 12-year-old sister.

I like watching sports on tv and going to basketball matches with my dad. I like to stay at home and relax if I don’t have things to do.

I am a little bit shy. It takes me a while to feel comfortable with grown up people I don’t know.

I attend a scientific high school, my favourite subject is Maths and I’ve been playing basketball in a team since I was 7.

I really like pasta, pizza and t-bone steak. I like having barbeques in the garden and I’m looking forward to experiencing a real American Thanksgiving with you!

I hope this experience will improve my English, will increase my independence and will make me discover the real American everyday life.

I lived one year in the US (Connecticut) when I was 3 years old, because of my father’s job and I still remember my pre-school, my old little friends and that’s why I chose the US for my Exchange experience. I feel comfortable with the US because I feel like I’m familiar with the places and the people.

I would like to go back home as a different person, more mature and full of new experiences.
