LETTER FROM Lisa

Lisa

Hi,

My name is Lisa, and I am 16 years old. My family consists of my parents, my older sister, my younger brother, my two cats and me. My parents are divorced so I live with my mom during the week and on weekends I am at my dads house. With my father I often go on bike rides, and my mother and I like to try new activities like different water-sports or other. Both of my siblings and I love to play with our two cats and make fun with each other. I am personally very precise and persistent. My character is also rather extroverted, therefore I also like to be around other people. My weakness is being a bit perfectionistic. Doing different sports and going outside is also fun and an important activity for me. My favourite music styles are Pop and sometimes Hip Hop/Rap. Right now I am participating in a christian theatre project, where we all sing and play theatre. In school I am currently in grade 10, and I have been in a bilingual class since 5th grade.

My Hobbies are:

-Hip Hop

-Jazz Dance

-Belly Dance

A few years ago I also used to do Horseback Riding, which I still have interest in and like to do occasionally. In our Bellydance group we also make our own costumes, which contains sewing and embroidery.

Baking is also something I really enjoy. I would love to bake you some traditional German cakes and tell you about Germany and our culture. Some of my favourite foods are Spaghetti Bolognaise, Burgers and vegetables.

My family usually goes on one big holiday trip in the summer holidays. Last year we went to Andalusia (Spain) and the year before my brother, my dad and I went camping.

During my time in the US I hope to learn about your culture and the American way of life. I also hope to find many friends and experience the life of a teenager there.

I hope to get to know you soon. Thank you for welcoming me in the US and taking me into your home. 🙂
