Hello dear host family,

My name is Charlotte, I am 15 years old and I live in Berlin. I live with my mother in a beautiful old apartment. The Kurfürstendamm, abbreviated Ku-Damm, is a very long street with many shops, cafes and restaurants. My father lives not far away, only about 10 minutes by bicycle. My parents separated about 3 years ago but we all get along very well, especially my parents. My mother has a new partner for 2 years now, Christoph. He also has two children at my age, with whom I get along very well. Mia and Lukas. Mia and I like to go shopping and to go cafes. And we spend many holidays together. We’re always happy when we’re together. ??

My whole family is gathered at many different parties, for example at Christmas. My parents, my two uncles, Christoph, my cousin, my uncle, etc. We all enjoy the time together, laughing, eating, playing games. ??

I also spend a lot of time with my friends in school but also outside. My school time always runs from 8 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. As a class , we go for example ice skating in winter or swimming in the lakes of Berlin in summer. I really love it.??Last summer I started sailing on the Wannsee with my best friend Maya. I really like it. Together we have also played field hockey for many years, I started to play hockey with the age of 3. It was and It is one of my favorite hobbies. Our team was a great community and we often won tournaments . I had the most fun with hockey in summer. ??After our long training we were often swimming together or went for some food in restaurants. I also love to cook with my family or have some cute picnics especially in summer, whether with friends or family. From Germany I also could cook some regional dishes for you, for example ´´schnitzel´´.??

Another hobby of mine is playing golf. I have played golf since I was 6 years old, often and with pleasure with my dad. We are member in a golf club nearby. I have golf training twice a week, again preferably in summer. ?? I am also on the golf team and play a lot of tournaments. Always with the goal of winning or improving. Cause I’m an ambitious girl. I really like to fight for my goals, and discuss about everything possible, but of course with a lot of laughter and joy. ?? I am an open person and I like to communicate with other people. I like to do that with my friends and family. For example, with my cousin Lara. She’s 3 years older than me ,so we always have a lot to tell at family parties.

I hope to be welcomed by a nice family to spend the next 10 months with me. ??I wish for many great experiences and a lot of fun in a new family and with new people.
