Dear host family,

My name is Diego Onur, I am a 14 years old boy who will turn 15 in October. I was born in London, moved to Madrid a few years later and I spend every summer in the Turkish seaside.

I like and practice many sports mostly soccer and athletics. I also like meeting people and learning languages, currently I am fluent in English, Spanish and Turkish as well as starting to learn French and German.

People tell me that I have a good sense of humor, a healthy lifestyle and an entrepreneur interest because I like to talk about business ideas. I also told that I am a good listener, caring brother and mature to reflect on the important things that happens in life.

Additionally, I like spending time with friends, watch TV series and going away with my family to the seaside. I very much like all the foods: veggies, pasta, rice, meat or fish but if I have to choose my favorite weekend take away would be Mexican or Pizza.

I want to study one year in the US to have a multicultural experience and reflect on what to study moving forward. My preferred subjects are related to Life Sciences as well as Business/Economics. This J-1 US student exchange program would be a great opportunity to develop as person, explore my academic interests and more importantly understand how other American families live and think.
