LETTER FROM Iida

Iida

Hi! I am Iida. I am now seventeen years old from Finland. I really hope you enjoy reading about me, my family, my interests, and more.

First of all I’ll tell you something about my family. I have three sisters, two big sisters and one little sister. Their names are Miranda, Noora and Lumi. I live with my mom, dad and two sisters, Noora and Lumi. We also have two guinea pigs and my mom have horse. Guinea pigs live in my room and usually me and my little sister take care of them. Me and my parents and sisters are close and like to do things together. For example we play board games, watch movies and every summer we go to our cottage with other relatives. I am also close with my grandparents, and I like to spend time with them.

I would say that I am kind, diligent, positivy, artistic, and helpful. I like to help people and usually I am the listener of the group. I am not messy person at all. I never mess up my room, but I am not overly careful about it. My strengths include the way I can focus on one thing for a long time and that I always try to bring positivity around me and others. I am not very an extrovert person. I love to meet new people and spend time with friends and relatives, but I am a bit shy somehow, and I think that this is one thing I want to improve while my exhange year. I am super interested about art, I love paint, draw, sew and all those kind of things. I love read books, watch movies and series, listen to music, sometimes I also play piano. I love traveling and I have many plans to my future. One of my favorite food is tacos, I dont eat meat or chicken but the vegetarian versions are also super good. I also love pizza, pasta, salad, berries and fruits. My favorite holiday is absoluty christmas. One of my favorite tradition in my family is that we go to our cottage every summer, there we just swim, grill and spend time with relatives.

I hope that I can get super great memories and experiences from my exhange year, which I will remember for a long time. I hope that i can make friends and have close relationship with my host family, see new places, live and learn about American culture and habits, in general do things that I would never be able to experience without the exchange year. I hope that I will have a host family that is excited to learn about me and my interests, like to do things with me, for example watch everyones favorite movies, go shopping, cook, and all fun things. It would also be nice to go to Starbucks together for example. I understand that many families eat meat, and I can also cook my own foods. Thank you so much for reading my letter this far. I hope you got some kind of picture of me from this.
