Hi Family,

My name is Giovanna, I’m 16 years old. I was born and raised in Brazil, in a small town called near Sao Paulo. I live with my parents and I have a good relationship with them. I love traveling with my family and friends, I really like doing family activities because they are what I love the most in the world. I like going to the mall with my mother or my friends and I also have a very good mood, I can be fun most of the time when I get intimate (I think I get that from my father lol). When I meet new people like other families and friends, I tend to be shy at first but then loosen up. I really love animals, especially dogs and cats, I’ve always been in love with them. At home we have three dogs, but I’ve had a rabbit, chicken, parrot, and others. In my free time I like to play volleyball, dance, go to parties, watch movies and series and I love traveling. In my daily life in Brazil I go to school in the morning, when I get home I have lunch and sleep a little, then I study a lot because at my school I have 2 exams a week and before going to sleep I watch TV just a little and use my cell phone, besides that, I also want to go out a lot because on of the things I most like to do is going out and meet new people and places.

I’ve always been a responsible person at school, I dedicate myself and study a lot, of course I don’t do well all the time but I know I’m doing my role. I’m a little anxious sometimes, but I can handle because it is not too much. Since I was a child, I always worried and cared a lot about other people, especially the elderly and children. I once volunteered at NGO to help underprivileged children have a day filled with lots of fun and love, it was a moving and grateful experience.

I would like if my host family had someone similar in age to me and if we could be united and supportive because I think it would make me socialize more and maybe feel at home. Also, it would be nice if they have a dog because I love animals and I am very happy with them.

Finally, now that I’ve told you a little about myself, I want to say how happy I am to make this dream come true because I’m sure this experience will be excellent for me to have more maturity, responsibility, improve my English, learn new habits and culture, as well as having another family that I will take for life!
