Dear host family, My name is João Otavio, I am 16 years old and I live in the state of Santa Catarina, in the south of Brazil. My mother is called Sheila and my father is called Alex. My family is a good family, I love talking to them, about life, school, sports, I love them very much. My mother and father are always by my side when I need them, so they mean a lot to me. And my dog Dora, I love her very much, she is always around us like our shadow and she means a lot to us. Sometimes I don’t have much time to spend with them, but I always spend time with them when I can at breakfast, lunch or dinner, these are the main moments when I spend time with my family. About my personality, I am a fun person and I like to interact with people but there are times when I need to organize my mind. I prefer to be quiet in my corner just to think about the things I need to do. About my friends, I love being with my friends, they are usually very funny, we laugh together everywhere we go. I consider myself competitive in everything, sports, video games. I love the feeling of winning, it means I have achieved my goal and surpassed myself. My hobbies are playing video games, watching anime or series sometimes and hanging out with friends. I love video games with all my heart, sometimes I just want to sit in my chair and play something. I love spending time with my friends, it is like they make me feel alive when I laugh with them, and last but not least I like to put on headphones and listen to my music. And I am looking for a good way to be a successful person in life, to win for myself. I try every day to improve myself as a person even though I know I am still very young. I always try to make new friends, that is very good. Learn about their lives and cultures, learn something new, like sports games or even school. I usually have no difficulty in learning new things, that is why I am trying to learn something new. In Brazil I practice Handball. I play for my local team. But I like any ball sport. I am focused on trying to get to know a new country because in the future I plan to live alone in a new country. Maybe that could be a plan for the future. I would like to thank you in advance for reading this letter. I would like to tell you more about myself, but I am afraid of being repetitive. Maybe more about my routine, which basically revolves around going to school, playing handball, going to competitions and going out with my friends while dedicating myself to my family. I hope to have an enriching experience learning from my new family. |
