My name is Arianna, but I go by Ari. I live in the northern part of Italy.

I live in a city famous for being “The city of fashion”, in fact I love going shopping there with my friends during the weekend. I attend the Scientific High School and my favorite subjects are Science, Math and Latin. Every morning I get to school by bus or, during the hottest month, by bike. I’m quite good at school and I like studying.

I come from a family of four: myself, my sister, and my parents. While they are all wonderful people, and I think I never say this enough to them.

My dad, Giovanni, is particular. He doesn’t smile often, but when he does, he’s a very nice and funny person. He works as a distribution account manager for a multinational company and has a passion for sports, particularly triathlon. Skiing and mountain hikes are among his favorite hobbies. When I was a child, he taught me to ski. He’s a skilled skier, and I aspire to surpass his abilities one day.

My mom, Lucilla, is the opposite of my dad. She works for an Italian bank in the payment systems sector. She’s a quiet person who prefers the comfort of home and watching TV series. Though she’s kind-hearted, it’s best not to get on her bad side.

As for my sister, Giulia, she’s the typical sister, but I really love her even though we argue almost every day. She’s a chatterbox, constantly engaging in conversation, unlike me. I’m more reserved initially, but once I warm up to someone, I can be quite talkative.

Despite my reserved nature, I am determined, sweet, and sensitive. I may be timid at first, but I’m not one to back down from a challenge once I set my mind to it. My sensitivity allows me to empathize with others deeply, and I cherish moments of connection and understanding.

Like my dad, I enjoy sports, particularly gym sessions. Working out serves as a therapeutic escape for me, helping me clear my mind after a tough day. While I used to swim, I transitioned to the gym recently due to time constraints. Additionally, I adore skiing and mountain excursions, and I’d like to try surfing, but this activity is not commonly practiced in Italy.
