Dear host family,
I am writing to you today with great anticipation, hoping that you will consider me as your future exchange student. Although we do not know each other personally yet, I am already excited at the thought of becoming part of your family and sharing experiences together.
My name is Hevi and I come from Germany. I am currently 16 years old and will be 17 next year. l have three older sisters and two older brothers. My oldest brother and sister are already married and my married sister already has a two-year-old daughter. I live with my parents, three siblings and my cat in the western part of Germany.
My hobbies and interests include reading, painting, dancing and I love music – I prefer listening to Kpop and 2000s songs. In my free time I like to do things with my friends. We often go to the cinema or to the park. I really hope we can find common activities that bring us all joy. Whether it is exploring the local area, cooking traditional dishes together or discovering new leisure activities in your region, I am ready to get involved and experience unforgettable moments with you.
I decided to spend a semester abroad in the USA to get to know new cultures, meet new people and explore new places. I want to improve my English skills and my personal development. I am looking forward to sharing my experiences and knowledge with you and your family.
I have already gained many valuable experiences in my home country, but I am ready to leave my comfort zone and fully embrace the challenges and joys that a stay abroad brings. I am curious about your way of life, your traditions and your culture, and I look forward to sharing my knowledge and perspective with you.
I assure you that I will strive to be a respectful, open-minded and supportive member of your family. I am open to new experiences, excited to learn from each other and ready to actively participate in everyday life.
Thank you for considering my application as a potential guest. I look forward to learning more about you and hopefully becoming part of your family soon.
