Dear host family,
I hope this letter reaches you in the best condition and with bright faces! It is a great pleasure for me to introduce myself to you and to express my sincere gratitude to you.
My name is Noah, and I will soon be part of your family when I come to your community as an exchange student. I am originally from Austria and live here with my family, which also includes my little brother Noel, who is 8 years old, and my cat Milow. My father works as executive chef for a large hotel and my mother works part–time as a restaurant manager. Even though my hometown is predominantly catholic, I don’t practice the faith actively. I have no problem, however, with people practicing their faith, regardless of denomination.
In my spare time, besides serving as a junior firefighter and member of the local mountain rescue team, I enjoy almost any number of outdoor activities. I am an enthusiastic skier and cyclist, for which my home gives me plenty of opportunities. The mountains in our region offer fantastic slopes, and I enjoy experiencing the fresh air and the beautiful landscape while skiing. In summer, I like to explore the surroundings by bike and love to discover new places. Apart from my sports activities, I like to spend time with my friends. Whether we meet outside or just hang out at home, being together with my friends means a lot to me.
I look forward to sharing all these experiences with you and your family. I am ready to try new things and make some unforgettable memories with you. Likewise, I am excited to be with your family and enter respectfully, friendly and openly into your home. I hope to learn a lot from you while also sharing my culture and experiences.
Thank you again for your generous invitation and your open hearts. I can’t wait to be part of your family and experience the upcoming adventures with you.
