LETTER FROM Anuar from Kazakhstan

Anuar from Kazakhstan

My name is Anuar, and I am 15 years old. I am applying to study in the United States, and I am incredibly excited about this opportunity. Living and studying in America has been a long-time dream of mine. After visiting the U.S. with my family, my desire to experience American culture and education grew even stronger. I would like to take this chance to tell you more about myself and my interests.

I live with my family in a small town located in the westernmost part of Kazakhstan. My family means the world to me, and I love them dearly. My parents have always been very supportive and have taught me important life skills, including how to handle various situations and treat people with respect. I also have an 11-year-old sister, and we spend a lot of time together. As the older sibling, I feel a strong sense of responsibility toward her, especially since our parents are often busy with their jobs. This has helped me develop a caring and protective nature. My parents encourage me to work hard and follow my dreams while reminding me to always be polite and kind to others.

I have many hobbies that I am passionate about. Basketball is one of my favorite activities. I was part of my hometown’s team and participated in several national championship games. Basketball not only helps me stay active but also boosts my confidence and teaches me discipline. On tough days, I often look up to my favorite athlete, Kobe Bryant, for inspiration.

In addition to sports, I enjoy reading books, especially those about history and self-development. I believe these books help me grow as a person by expanding my knowledge and improving my mindset. I also love fishing because it is both relaxing and exciting, and I enjoy solving challenging riddles as they push me to think creatively. Additionally, I participate in speed cubing and chess, which bring me a lot of joy and a sense of accomplishment.

Studying in the United States is important to me because I believe it offers unique opportunities for personal and academic growth. I am eager to learn about different cultures, meet new people, and immerse myself in American traditions. I find American culture fascinating and believe it will broaden my perspective. I am especially interested in improving my English skills and exploring the innovative American education system. I hope to take on new subjects, join various extracurricular activities, and make wonderful memories along the way.

In conclusion, I am thrilled at the possibility of studying in America and living with a host family. I look forward to sharing my culture with you while learning about yours. This experience will be a significant step in achieving my personal and academic goals. Thank you for taking the time to read my application and consider me as part of your family.
