LETTER FROM Miguel

Miguel

Dear future family,

My name is Miguel. I’m 14 years old and I’m living in a quite big town in the center of Spain.

I live with my two brothers and… you know what? We are triplets! I was born last and I was the smallest of the three. Now I´m the tallest and I look older tan them. We were born premature but in good health. My brothers are called Rubén and Miguel. We get along well.

My parents are divorced so, depending on the week, I live in a house with my mom and in a flat with my dad, but the houses are in the same neighborhood. The neighborhood is very peaceful, so I can hang out with my friends and nothing will happen.

My life is pretty normal. I get up very early everyday to go to School. I have been studying in this School since I was three years old. When I come back home, I have lunch and I do my homework or I study. I don’t have too much free time during the week, so I can’t do other things, except training soccer. It´s my passion! When I finish studying, I prepare my backpack to go to School the next day and I have dinner with my family. Later, I watch TV until 22:30 and I go to bed.

At the moment, I haven’t got any pet, but we had a small chameleon called José Luis. I love animals, but we don’t have enough time to look after them. I love playing soccer, I train twice a week because I play in a team and I really enjoy watching soccer matches with my friends and family at home and in the soccer fields.

I played tennis when I was 8 but I gave it up because I wasn’t really good at it. At weekends, I usually visit my grandparents and we have lunch out. I don’t have a favorite restaurant because I eat any type of food: spanish traditional dishes, chinese, italian, and of course american food.

When I don’t have to do my homework, I spend my free time playing videogames online or watching movies or series. However, I really enjoy outdoor activities like water sports, going to the beach, riding my bicycle and going for a walk.

I’m looking forward to traveling to the USA because it will be a great opportunity to improve my English. I’m sure I will live an unforgettable experience. I want to learn everything about your culture, way of life, and I’m sure that living 10 months without my american family will make me more responsible and mature.

Looking forward to see you soon!
