LETTER FROM Emely

Emely

Dear host family, with this letter, I want to introduce myself and also show you my appreciation for giving me the wonderful opportunity to stay abroad for a year!

My name is Emely, but you can also call me Emy, and I’m currently 16 years old. I live in village near a bigger city and go to a school just 5 minutes walking distance from my home, where I live with my mom and my dog Bella. We live a very Christian life together and I’m always glad when I get to spend some time with my mom, e.g. when we do trips together or do movie nights. Moreover, I also enjoy visiting my grandparents after school sometimes and eating lunch together.

I enjoy going to school a lot, since I’m always happy to see my friends there again. My favorite subject is biology, and I would love to study marine biology in the future. After school, at least in summer, I often go swimming with my friends (and sometimes my dog). I like exploring new places, alone or together with others.

Personally, I would describe myself as an honest, caring and loving person (who can also be a bit chaotic sometimes). Likewise, I’m also an extrovert and I love meeting new people which is one of the main reasons I wanted to travel abroad – to make lots of new international friends. I’m hoping to broaden my horizon, grow more independent and learn more about American people, their lifestyle and traditions.

I am really excited to meet you and I want to express my sincere gratitude for taking me in and supporting my stay in your country! Hopefully we will have a great time together and I can’t wait to ask you about your favorite movies!
