Dear Host Family, first of all, thank you for the time you’ve decided to dedicate to my letter!

My name is Luna, and I am 15 years old. I live with my father, my mother, my sister, Carla, who is 12, and my cat named Tommy.

My father is fifty-four years old, my mother is fifty and they both work in a multinational semiconductor company.

My sister has always been my playmate and accomplice and, even though we often argue, we are very close and defend each other. I’m sure I will miss him a lot.

I love my cat who for me is part of my family. Tommy is 3-year-old.

I have dear grandparents who I love very much, who have been a point of reference for me.

During the school week, I usually stay home with my sister after school, and together we eat and study before our activities and sports. In the evening, we have dinner with our parents. On the weekends, my parents don’t work, and we spend time together. My family and I love travelling and discovering new places and realities that are totally different from the ones we are used to. When we can, we organize holidays to visit other cities or countries. My family has also a camper and when possible we use it to go on adventures.

I am in my third year of classical high school, I study latin and greek language, and my favorite subjects are history and philosophy.

In my class there are 23 girls and only 3 boys, but we are very close-knit and united, and I also like going to school because we have fun together.

My sport is athletics, and I like to run. I train four times a week, and I love this sport also because I train outdoors.

My favorite hobbies are listening to music, reading, and shopping with my friends. When I don’t have too much homework, I enjoy watching TV, especially with my father and sister.

I usually go out with my friends on Saturday or Sunday and we go walking and shopping (I love to go shopping in the city center) or we go to the cinema or to eat a pizza.

With my best friends I share moments of fun but also moments of sharing when we talk about our difficulties in homework or in life. When it is not possible to meet in person, we talk on the phone

In our family, we try to eat in a healthy and organic way. My favorite foods are potatoes, lasagna, eggs, pizza, and fruit, and when possible, I like to cook with my parents.

My favorite colors are pink and blue.

I’m honest and balancing but also I’m very determined, adventurous and curious, and I love to try new things. I give my contribution to the household by cleaning my room and helping my family in meal preparation.

With this opportunity, I hope to become more independent and responsible and to learn English well. I also hope to gain experience and make connections that will last for a very long time.
