Dear host family, my name is Laura and I am from Germany. I am 15 years oId and I live with my mum and dad and my very cute cat Lucy in our house in a small village. Near my home is a lake. We spend a lot of time swimming and stand-up paddling there. I have no siblings but I have a big family with a lot of uncles, aunts, cousins and my grandparents.

I go to high school in the next small town. I am riding to school with my bike or I use the public bus. Two days a week I have swim training. I also work during weekends in a restaurant. My hobbies are swimming, jogging, reading and writing, streaming something and I love to chill in my room. I like to spend my free time with my friends or my family. I often go into town with my friends to stroll, shop or we watch a movie. I spend almost every friday with my grandparents because I have a very close relationship with my grandmother and we have so much fun together. Sometimes I also use my time to teach my cat tricks such as high five. If you have pets I can do that with them too.

I regularly travel with my parents or my grandparents during the holidays. When travelling, we like to try different sports like canyoning, rafting, diving and recently also surfing. During the winter holidays we always go skiing.

My favorite food is Asian food like sushi. I also like pasta with pesto because it´s easy to make. But I also like potato dumplings with sauce which we always have at home at Christmas time. Christmas is also my favorite family tradition and also my favorite holiday. I am a sporty and travel-loving person. I save my money to fulfill my wishes later on. My strengths are ingenuity, logical thinking, creativity, courage. My weaknesses are that I am sometimes a bit unpunctual, a bit messy and can also be a bit impatient.

From my stay in the US I hope that I will get to know the culture, that my English gets better and I can also learn more about myself. When living together I can also introduce you to German culture by cooking something or simply telling you something about Germany.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to make this a lifetime experience for me. We will certainly experience a lot together and have fun.
