Dear Host Family,

My name is Sara, I’m 16 years old and I’m from Italy. I live in a house in a small village outside Bologna. I live with my dad who is employed in a private company and my brother who is 4 years old, so he goes at school, and my mum died 4 years ago. I love to spend time with my family and not only with my dad and my brother but also with my grandparents, uncles and cousins but not all of them live in Bologna so I often go to Forlì to visit my dad’s relatives (Forlì is 45/50 minutes car ride away from Bologna).

My hobbies are to do sports and to watch it. I have been doing cheerleading since I was 6 years old, and I do cheerleader 3 times a week for 3 hours. When I was little I used to do a swimming course, I have stopped doing it but I still like to swim. I also like to play volleyball but I don’t have time to do it as a sport, so I play it in school during PE hours. The last one of my hobbies is to watch football matches.

I am a very open person to make new acquaintances, in fact I am very solar person and I like to spend time in company. However, I am also very fragile and when I am unhappy I tend to cry very easily. And finally, I really like to spend my afternoons in company with friends and relatives.

My expectations from this experience are to learn about new cultures and able to establish a good relationship with the people I will meet.
