Hi, I am Roos and I am 16 years old. When I go to America I will be 17 years old. I play field hockey. I play it since I was a young girl. I also like to go to the gym with a friend. And the last sport, but not the least, I love to go skiing once a year.

One thing I also really like to do is hanging out with friends or family! Right now I am in high school in the Netherlands but I would love to experience high school in the USA. I live with my parents, my sister and my dog. My sister and I are close in age and we have a good relationship. I also have a good relationship with my parents. I like our holidays together, watching movies on the couch with them or playing board games.

The reason I want to go to the USA is because I want to improve my English, learn about a new culture and meet new people.

If I have to describe myself in three words I would choose: enthusiastic, dependable and empathetic. This is because I love learning new things and will be very enthusiast about new experiences, I will always be there for someone I care and listen to him or her when needed and will always try to understand everybody’s side of a story.

Like I said earlier I go skiing once a year. This is with a big group of friends and family. It is one of my favorite weeks of the year. But I also like to go on a summer holiday. I have made great memories with my family, like our last holiday: We were in Indonesia and I was very enthusiastic about the landscape, culture and kindness of the people.

One thing I like to do with friends is to shop, go to the cinema or go to a place where we haven’t been before.

I like to have our lunch or dinner together. My favorite food is a pizza! I know that it isn’t healthy but it is one of the things you can wake me up.

I hope to be placed in a loving family! where everybody can be the person they want to be.
