Dear Host Family,

My name is Max, and I am very excited about the opportunity to spend six months in the United States and become a part of your family. I would love to introduce myself so you can get to know me better.

I live in an apartment in Prague with my mom. My parents are divorced, but we have a great relationship. I don’t have any pets, but I enjoy spending time with my family doing different activities, such as going to the movies, attending social and sports events, or simply relaxing at home. I would describe myself as an outgoing person who loves meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I am friendly and kind, but I can also get frustrated sometimes. I tend to have the last word in discussions, but I’m working on improving that.

I am currently studying at a bilingual high school, where I focus on Spanish. I have five subjects taught entirely in Spanish, which has helped me develop strong language skills. During my time in the U.S., I would love to continue improving my Spanish by taking Spanish classes at school if possible. Language learning is something I am truly passionate about and being able to study both English and Spanish in an international environment would be an amazing opportunity.

Basketball has been a big part of my life since I was about seven years old, and I play at an advanced level. I love watching the NBA and enjoy all kinds of sports, including soccer. If possible, I would love to join a school basketball team and continue training while in the U.S. Every summer, I travel to the seaside, and in winter, I go skiing abroad, either with my mom or dad. I have a strong passion for fashion, especially sneakers and brands, and I’m a huge fan of rap music, particularly artists like Travis Scott. Traveling is something I really enjoy, and I would love to explore more of the United States.

During my time in America, I hope to make new friends, build a great relationship with my host family, and experience American culture firsthand. Most of all, I want to enjoy this unique experience to the fullest. I would love to be part of an active, communicative, and friendly family who enjoys going to different events, whether concerts or other activities. I’m excited about the adventure ahead and looking forward to meeting you!
