LETTER FROM Aituar

Aituar

Dear American Family,

I am very grateful to be writing this letter to you. Thank you very much for deciding to open your home to me and providing me with this wonderful opportunity to study in your beautiful country and to explore new traditions and culture.

To begin with, I would like to tell you a bit about myself and my interests. My name is Aituar, and I am 16 years old. Our family consists of five people – my mother Zhannar, my father Sapar, my two brothers Amir, Sayat, and myself. In my free time, I try to dedicate all my time to my family. For me, family is not just parents and my brothers- it is my care, my love, and my support. I especially spend time with my little brother, who is a very intelligent and responsible young man.

He is passionate about chess, and I make opponent for him. Sometimes we even argue, but we always remain friends. I have always enjoyed spending time with my family. Recently, we played “Monopoly” while listening to our favorite family music. There were disagreements about the rules, and each of us wanted to win this board game. I also love having conversations with my parents on our common topics over a cup of tea. I often spend time with my friends, even though they are few, they always support me and help me. For me, a friend is the best companion and mentor. I really enjoy visiting interesting and exciting places and discussing any topics. We are always cheerful and look at our lives with a smile and positivity. Communication and sociability are the main characteristics in my life. I always need someone to listen to me and have a conversation with me; I really like it.

In addition to my basketball training, I attend English and German language courses. As I grow older, I devote more and more time to my studies. For me, studying is not just about school materials but also the development of my young mind.

I have been playing basketball at a professional level for about 5-6 years, participating in many games and competitions. I have learned several valuable lessons. Basketball has taught me self-confidence, the ability to take instructions, attentiveness, and most importantly, never to give up.

Since childhood, I thought that America was something unreal for us and for our society. As I grew up, I realized that everything is real and everything is possible. I am confident in my abilities and possibilities. And now I want to share what America means to me.

America appears to me as a place where every day is an adventure, where I can make new friends, and where there are endless opportunities for personal growth. I would like to immerse myself in your wonderful culture, learn, and also share my own traditions and exchange experiences with you. I believe that living with a host family will allow me to learn much more about life in America than a tourist visit. I am not only ready to learn and develop but also to help your family with household chores and your children’s studies, if necessary.

I promise to be a respectful and responsible guest, and my goal is to create warm and friendly relationships with you. I hope I can contribute to your family life and, at the same time, learn a lot about you and your country. My dream is not just to visit America but also to create unforgettable memories and long-lasting connections. Thank you for your attention to my letter. Although I am not a master of letter writing, I have tried my best to tell you about myself, my family, and why I have a strong desire to participate in this program. I look forward to the opportunity to learn more about you and become a part of your family.

Sincerely,

Aituar
