Hi dear host family,

My name is Anuk, in my family we are six, my mum, my dad, my two brothers, my dog and I.

My two brothers are in college, one is studying chiropody and the other is studying engineering, my mum is an engineer, my dad is a teacher and when I grow up I want to study criminology.

When we are all together at home sometimes we watch a movie, play board games or cook.

I am a very studious person, kind but I am also a little shy. One of my weaknesses is that I am very ashamed but when I get to know people better I am not shameful at all. One of my strengths is that I am a person who laughs a lot and at the same time I am very funny, it is very easy to make me laugh.

Throughout my life I have practiced several sports but the one that I have been practicing for more than 6 years and I still do is synchronized swimming, but I also have a lot of hobbies, some of them are horse riding, cooking, making my nails and singing.

I’m not very special about food, what I like the most is the spanish omelette, the tuna empanada, the cheese and the ham.

In my family when there are holidays we try to go out of our city or to go out of Spain, in my family we like to travel. In my family we have some traditions, for example on Halloween we decorate the whole house and make food with that theme, or on Christmas night on the 24th the whole family comes to my house for dinner and we prepare a lot of food.

What I hope to take away from this experience is to learn more about your traditions, your culture, know how to speak English fluently and make new friends.
