Hello Dear Host family,

My name is Caetano!

I will let you know a little about my life. In my house we live with three people, me, my father, and my mom. We have three dogs – two bigs and one small, two females and one male that is one of the two bigs. My father is a farmer and that’s why he spends most of his time of the week at the farm, we usually stay together on the weekends. My mother helps my father with the finances of the farm because she prefers to stay in the city. I also have an older sister who lives in another city, bigger than my city.

On the weekends, we usually have family activities. Some weekends and holidays my sister comes here to spend time with us. Some Sundays we eat a delicious breakfast for my grandmother, the mother of my mom, and we always gather my mom’s family on these days. Every Sunday we have lunch at my other grandmother’s house. This is like a tradition for us and for my dad’s family, I guess that this was created by my grandfather. Some Saturdays we go in my aunt’s house, that is in a small village near of my city, and if possible we gather my mom’s family too, usually when we do this, me and all my family sleep there for make on Sunday a perfect barbecue and after this back home.

Now about me, I consider myself a positive person, that is to always try to see good things in a bad situation. I am optimistic and patient, I am usually more patient to others than to myself, but whatever the situation I will try to be the most patient that I can. I am an outgoing person, and I guess that this is very good for me and sometimes for the people that are with me, because this personality makes me not be a shy person, so I can make some friends easily, in some situations I can cheer up the people or place. I like to talk with the people, and I like to talk about everything, because I think so that with this a can learn more things of a easy and cool way, and that’s why I like too to talk with adults, because they know more things, and know ways to do some things better than me because they have more experience. I am an honest person and I always try to do the right thing, because I think that everything has consequences, so if you do good things, good things will happen to you and vice versa. I care a lot with my friends and family, but I am a little reserved when expressing my feelings. I think that some weaknesses about me are that I hate to read books or long texts. If I need to, I can read but I hate it. And sometimes I can be stubborn, but I am improving this to listen more than others.

I have a lot of hobbies and interests. Some of the things I love are cars, quality time with friends and family and dogs and animals in general. I like to cook too. I love to go to the farm with my father and help him there with everything that I can. And about my hobbies, I love to play videogames, go to parties with my friends, practice sports. But not all sports. I guess that the most that I like are beach tennis, table tennis, soccer, swimming, volleyball, I am not very good in this activities but I do the best I can. I also like tournaments of dance, but it is gaucho dance. I like this because in these tournaments I get to see some friends from other cities in the same place, and I can make more friends that like this culture too. And I think that the last thing on the list that I used to do or that I like is playing accordion.

With the exchange program I hope to make new friends, meet new people, gain more experience for my life, learn more cultures and traditions, and I think that the thing that I really hope that happens is to improve my English so that in the future I can travel wherever I want, or maybe for business.
