Dear host family,

My name is Celine and first of all, thank you for your hospitality.

At first i would like to give you a little insight into my family life. My family consist of my mum, my dad and my big brother. We often play card games in the evening, watching movies together or occasionally go on day trips to other cities on the weekend. I always love to spend time with them because my family is very important to me. My mum was born in Poland and we have a good relationship with my family there ( my aunts, my grandfather and my cousins). During the holidays I often fly over to visit them and their animals because they live on a farm with goats, pigs, ducks, cats, dogs and chickens. It´s always fun spending time there and it never gets boring. My dad was born in Germany so my grandfather only lives 15 minutes away and we often visit him on sundays. My mum and I also attending servives on Sunday, every second week and we love going to church.

Now i would like to introduce myself. I´m Celine, currently 15 years old and my birthday is in april. I´m a very open minded and helpful person who loves to meet new people. Even though I don´t have that much life experience yet, I am always happy to be able to face new situations. My favorite subjects in school are Chemistry and Art. In my free time I love going out with my friends. We often try new restaurants, going to soccer matches in our city or play some games. My friends are always supporting me and I´m very glad to have them. In addition to my friends, I also play volleyball in a club on Mondays and Fridays and even though the sport is exhausting, I really enjoy doing it. When I´m at home and want to relax or unwind, I sit down at my desk and draw a little and sometimes I also decide to bake something. I love listening to music and I can´t spend a day without listening to some. It just puts me in a good mood for starting in the day. I mostly listen to Bob Marley, The Weekend or Coldplay. My favorite food is pizza and pasta and I like not only to eat them but also to prepare them myself or with my family and friends. Besides my free time, I love to travel! I´ve already been to many countrys with my family for example: the Dominican republic, Jamaica, Cape Verde, France and many more. I always find it interesting to get to know new cultures and see how differently people live in diffrent countries. I´ve never had a vacation that wasn´t fun and I´m very grateful to my parents for making it possible for me to travel with them to a range of diffrent places.

I´m very excited for my exchange year and I look forward to meeting many new people and to improve my English in basic everyday conversations. I´m also very interested in getting to know a new school system and gaining more self-confidence as a result.

I would be happy to become a small part of your family and to be able to tell you more about Germany or even cook a German dish for you in the future.
