LETTER FROM Fiona

Fiona

Dear Host Family,

I appreciate all family members, which are taking the time to read this letter. I am looking forward to meeting you!

My name is Fiona and I am 15 years old. I am from a small town near Hamburg . I live with my mother, my father and my older sister, who is 18 years old. My family is a very important part of my life, because we are always there for each other and solve problems together. My parents support me in everything I want to do and help me in reaching my dreams. We are all interested in soccer and go together to the stadium. I also love our vacations together.

I would describe myself as a positive and supportive person. I always defend people who are important to me and I am always there for them. I am also very funny and love to make jokes. I can say my honest opinion in a nice way. I am also very spontaneous. But I am also a very emotional person and if things don’t work out, I get stressed sometimes.

My favorite Hobby is soccer. Most of my friends play soccer too, so it’s a big part of my life. I have practice two times a week and a match on the weekend. In my free time I play soccer with my friends too and make a lot of good memories. I also like to read books, especially when I am on vacation. Often I read love stories. I like to bake and to go on a walk. I love to travel, one of my dreams is to see all countries in the world. We often fly to an island. My favorite vacation was on Cape Verde, it’s an African island or on Crete, it was pretty nice there. Some of my favorite foods are pizza, pasta and chicken salad. A family tradition is for example that we all (grandparents, aunts, uncles and so on) come together to celebrate a birthday or holidays. We also go every year for a week in a house in Denmark.

I hope I gain a lot from this experience. I want to be independent and want to get confronted with new situations. I want to meet new people and make friends, maybe some for the rest of my life. But I also want to get to know myself better. And obviously to improve my English.

Kind regards
Fiona
