LETTER FROM Chi An (Brian) from Taiwan

Chi An (Brian) from Taiwan

Hi, my name is Brian, and I’m from Taiwan. I’m 17 years old. Right now, I’m a student studying in the Aircraft Maintenance Department of my high school. In my family, there’s my mom, dad, younger brother, and me. I’m closest to my mom. She’s like my best friend—we often go shopping, watch movies, and talk about everything together.

I love sports, especially basketball. It’s my favorite because I get to play with my friends, and I hope it’ll help me grow taller, too! On weekends or holidays, I usually play basketball with my friends. Music is also a big part of my life. I’ve been playing wind instruments and the piano for seven years. Playing music helps me relax and forget about my worries—it’s a really amazing feeling.

At school, I’m learning how to repair airplanes. It’s a lot of fun, but it also takes a lot of concentration and patience. Last summer, I went to a training center to learn more about aircraft maintenance, and I was so excited to earn my certificate there successfully!

This summer, I’ll be going to the U.S. as an exchange student for a year. I look forward to meeting new family and friends, experiencing new things, learning new cultures, and improving my English.
