LETTER FROM Chun Ki (Anson)

Chun Ki (Anson)

Hello! My name is Anson and I am now 15 years old. I would like to share about my family, my hobbies, etc to you and introduce myself to you. In my family, I am the youngest. I have a Older Brother who is now 19 years old and he is a College student in the USA as well, my mum, and my dad. I love my family very much and they always support me in my decisions.

I am a very active boy and like to do sports with my friends. I like to play table tennis, basketball, volleyball, running, football, and also reading. My biggest hobby out of all is table tennis and I have played for many years since I was young. If I get a chance, I would like to start a table tennis club at my US high school when I am on the program so that I can introduce table tennis to my friends there. I have participated in several table tennis competitions and have got good results.

Why do I want to join this program? First of all, the U.S. education system is recognized as one of the best in the world. In the U.S., I can receive a high-quality education, learn a variety of subjects including math, science, English, and other really cool subjects that I could not take here in Hong Kong. I believe that in this kind of environment, I will be able to develop and grow in the best way. Furthermore, studying in the U.S. will also allow me to experience different cultures and backgrounds.

I am really looking forward to making new friends from all around the world, learning and playing together, and sharing our stories. Through this diverse environment, I can learn to appreciate different perspectives and ways of life, which will help cultivate my open-mindedness and empathy. Most importantly, in the U.S., I can strengthen my independence and self-confidence. As a young student, being able to live independently, solve problems, and make my own decisions will be very beneficial for my growth. I believe these experiences will lay a solid foundation for my future journey in life.

Overall, I am very excited about the opportunity to study in the U.S. It is not only a chance to receive an excellent education, but also a precious experience to broaden my horizons and develop my personal qualities. I believe this will become one of the most unforgettable and meaningful journeys in my life. I look forward to meeting you and thank you for reading my letter.
