Dear future host family,

First of all, I want to thank you for reading this letter and for giving me the opportunity to stay in your home. I know it can be a big change to have someone else in the house, so I will do my best to follow your rules and be part of the family in the best way possible.

My name is Daniela. I live in a small town with my parents, my sister, and our pets. My father s 49 years old and works as a police officer. My mother s 46 years old and is a housewife. My sister’s name is 19 years old and is studying at university. She is in her second year, studying Business and Computer Engineering. During the week, we don’t spend a lot of time together, but when we do, we enjoy activities like cooking at home, walking with our dogs, or watching movies as a family. We have four pets: two dogs, a cat, and a Vietnamese pig. Our dogs are called Vela and Dama, both are Golden Retrievers. My cat is named Pitu, and our Vietnamese pig’s name is Emili.

I am a responsible, friendly, and organized person. I enjoy learning new things. I am good at making new friends and solving problems. However, I can be a bit of a perfectionist and sometimes shy when I meet new people, but when I gain confidence, I am very affectionate and kind. In addition, I am working on improving these things and I am eager to meet new people in the US. One of my main hobbies is dancing: I have been dancing ballroom dance for 10 years, and I also really like playing volleyball. Other of my interests are: listening to music, watching movies, and reading books. My favorite foods are omelets, lentils, potato wedges, and mashed potatoes. My favorite holiday is Christmas because I can spend more time with my family, watching Christmas movies and drinking hot chocolate.

I hope this experience will be unique and help me grow as a person. I want to learn about your culture, improve my language skills, and make new friends. I am excited to adapt to a new environment and make unforgettable memories. I am sure this exchange will help me gain more confidence and independence.
