Dear host family,
My name is Darta and I am from Latvia, together with my mom, dad and my 3 siblings we live in a town. I am the oldest sibling of 4. I have 2 younger brothers and a sister. We also have multiple pets, they are a dog, a cat, and 2 guinea pigs. Emils is one of my younger brothers he is 12, and he loves freestyle skiing and inline rollerbladeing. Alberts is my 2nd younger brother, he is 5 years old, and he loves to play football. Lizete is my younger sister, she is 2 years old, and she likes to play with her toys and watch animal videos. My mom likes to watch tennis tournaments and go on walks, and she also has a business she runs. My dad likes skiing and all kinds of sports, and he also really likes motorcycles. Together we as a family love to travel and spend time together. Our favorite was to spend time together is going skiing.
I would describe myself as a really creative, supportive, active and a nice person, I love to do creative things and be a part of creative projects, and I also support people who need help with something. I also love to play different kinds of sports and stay active.
2 of my biggest interests are Formula 1 and Eurovision. I know everything about Formula 1 and Eurovision. I have been watching Eurovision since 2019 and I still am one of Eurovision’s biggest fans. One of my biggest dreams was to attend Eurovision, and last year that dream came true when I went to Sweeden to finally watch Eurovision 2024, live from Malmo arena, it was the best trip of my life, because it’s almost impossible to get tickets to Eurovision, and we finally did. My other interest is formula 1, I started to watch formula 1 in 2023 and been a fan ever since. My favorite driver is Lando Noris, he drives for the McLaren teem. Last year I attended the formula 1 Belgium grand prix race, and I loved it, it was very cool to see the race live from the trackside. I also love to play tennis, I have been playing tennis since I was 6 years old and I also sometimes compete in tournaments, not only in my home country, but also in international tournaments, for example in Georgia and Spain.
In this exchange year I would like to experience what life is like in different countries, because I have only lived in Latvia my whole life, and I want to know what life is like in other countries. I have traveled a lot to different countries, but I have never been there long enough, to get to know what life is like there.
