First of all, I would like to thank you for reading my letter and spending time on getting to know me better. We never met so I hope the following lines will give you an impression about me, my life in Vietnam and why I would like to study in the USA.
My name is Duong, (but you can call me Scott as an English name) and I’m 15 years old. I live in a big and modern city in Viet Nam. Currently, I am a student in secondary school. Generally, I can say for sure that I’m quite good at Math and English. I am already aware that being an exchange student is very challenging, but I am ready for this journey. My family describe me as a humor man and sociable. I love a good challenge and that is the reason why I choose to be an exchange student.
Reason I want to go to the USA is I want to know more good knowledge and help my parents in Viet Nam. My parents love me so much and always want me to have a better future, so I’ll always be their little son. If a family could choose a student, they should choose me because I am fun to be around and I can make a new friend in few minutes. I can easily get along with any member of your family. I love animals, so if you have a pet we would bond well. I want to meet you very much. As I spend more time with you, I’ll get to know you better. I would like to share with you my culture, help you cook some delicious Vietnamese food, tell you about our Tet, … I’m glad to share my culture with you.
I am looking forward to the year I’ll spend and the good times I’ll have with your family. Until I see you, I wish you take care and have good days!
