Dear Host Family,

I am Edith and I live together with my sister, my parents and my two grandparents that live next door. I mostly enjoy to hear how everyone’s day was and tell my family about my day. One of my favourite things too is sitting together at the dinner table and eat together.

The most important thing to know about me is, that I am a very thrifty person. I am also a great listener and love to listen to your problems and find a solution for them. Even though I have some great strengths that help me get through live, I am also really struggling with patience and organization.

A big part of my life is music. I love music and I don´t think, that I would be able to live without it. I play the flute since I am 7 years old and I am a part of two different orchestras. My whole family is in at least one of these orchestras and we all play different instruments. Music is not only my only real hobby, it´s also my most time consuming Hobby since I’ve three orchestra rehearsals a week. Since we often play at festivals, I get to eat a lot of French fries and German Bratwurst which makes it one of my favourite foods. Another dish that I adore is Chicken Alfredo Pasta or Wiener Schnitzel which I often order on my favourite holiday Christmas!!! Every christmas we go out to eat with my whole family and I absolutely love it. My favourite family tradition is new year; most of the time we spend new year together and always buy a lot of fireworks its so fun since a few friends of my parents and their children always celebrate new year with us.

I hope to gain more knowledge about your culture and the life in the USA. I also hope to make a lot of great experience and find some new friends. Hopefully I will find a second home in a country that I find so interesting and diverse. I am pretty positive that it will be a great experience and a formative experience. Thank you for letting me stay with you and I `m happy to share some of my culture with you!
