Dear Host Family,

I am Edith. First of all, thank you so much for opening the doors of your home to me and giving me the chance to live this incredible experience. I’m both nervous and excited, but mostly I can’t wait to get to know you and start this adventure!

I’d like to share a little about myself so you can get to know me better. I come from a very close family that means the world to me. My parents are always supportive, I have a brother who sometimes drives me crazy (but I love him anyway), and my grandfather, who is like the wise storyteller of the house. We also have a zoo at home—well, almost! We have 2 turtles, 3 cats, and 2 dogs who always know how to brighten my day. As a family, we enjoy simple things like watching movies, taking walks, and chatting over meals.

As for me, I’d say I’m cheerful, curious, and eager to learn new things. I might be a little shy at first, but once I feel comfortable, I love talking, sharing ideas, and laughing. I try to be organized and responsible, though I’m still working on being more confident when expressing my opinions. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing volleyball, and exploring new interests. Something curious about me is that I have a small altar dedicated to Hermes, where I light candles. It’s not a religious thing, but a way of reflecting and finding peace and calm. Oh, and I can’t forget about food! My favorite dishes are goulash, omelettes, and strawberries. I’m excited to try new foods with you and maybe even share some of my favorites too.
