LETTER FROM Elise

Elise

Hello,

My name is Elise. I live in a family of four, my dad is 50 and I have a really close relationship with him! My mom is 45 and we also have a wonderful relationship. My little brother Simon is 13, and I adore him, but it’s true that we often bicker, only to make up 5 minutes later, which makes me laugh. I love spending time with them in the evenings, telling them all about my day in every detail while they play music in the living room. With my grandparents, I love going to their house, playing board games, baking with my grandma and shooting pool with my grandpa. With my other grandparents, I love telling them all my stories and relaxing with them in front of the TV from time to time, and introducing my grandma to new music.

I’m someone who always wants to do everything so I don’t regret anything! I’m also a generous person with others, full of projects but also very talkative, nostalgic when I’ve had a good time and it’s coming to an end. I’m also very coquettish, I love fashion and shopping.

My favorite things at school are having fun with my friends and of course learning (especially English and history). It’s very important for me to be in contact with people and not to be alone.

In everyday life, I’m a person who loves to move around and do lots of different activities, go out with my friends, listen to music and play sports. I’ve been playing basketball for several years now, but it’s true that I love all kinds of sports: tennis, running, baseball, volleyball… it’s really important for me to be physically active!

During my 10 months in the U.S., I hope to get the most out of the experience by creating links with a host family and American friends, and simply by meeting new people. I hope to get to know a new way of life, try new things like cheerleading and of course learn to speak better English. To make important decisions, I need time to think. Moving to the United States and living with a host family is a project that’s close to my heart.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
