LETTER FROM Eva

Eva

Dear Mrs and Mr,

First of all I would like to thank you for taking time to read my letter. I live in a French Village next to the big town Lyon with my mother, my grandmother and my big brother. With my mom Sophie and my grandmother Annie we are very close. My mother runs a food business company and my grandmother was a seamstress. They are both gentle, funny and always there for me. I also have a big brother Alexandre who studies agriculture whom I get along well. What I love the most is the fact that we do things together such as cooking armenian meal, going on holidays, celebrating Christmas and easter all together. As for my father, he’s not much of a father and has been very absent since I was little, so I have very little contact with him, but I’m very lucky to have a mother who plays both roles, which is why I’d love to live with a complete family for a year, but I’ll understand if that’s not possible.

My name is Eva I am a smiling, determinate and kind person. Indeed I am shy but when I feel at ease I am very open and confident. I have never had a real challenge to take up and I want to live like an American girl as I’ve discovered this culture through cinema and I am passionate about it. Since I was a child I have always been attracted by the US and dreamt of having an exchange to improve my English and get outside of my comfort zone in order to learn new things.

In my free time I like to ride horses and I’ve joined a club for 2 years now. I love animals even if I am not yet lucky to own one at home. I also love cinema, watching movies, reading, having fun and listening to music. Concerning food I avoid eating fat and I love sushis. I really love going on vacation to the beach with my family, it is one on my best way to enjoy holidays.

My dream is to be a cheerleader in a nice high school. That’s why I’m thankful towards you because you will probably realize one of my biggest dream by living a year as an American student and above all, give me the chance to learn English perfectly. As I already have a brother with whom I love spending time, I would love to know what is having siblings from the opposite country. I’ve always seen the United States in movies, many exchange students relate the fact they realize their dream, they have spectacular pictures of wonderful landscapes and I dream of doing the same one day. I am looking forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,

Eva
