Dear host family,

First of all, thank you for your hospitality. My name is Fabrizio, I’m 16 years old and I’m Italian. My family consists of my parents and my brother. My parents are divorced and my brother is one year younger than me. Even if my parents are divorced their relationship is friendly and the atmosphere is peaceful. My mother’s a teacher while my dad’s a lawyer. I love celebrating holidays and traditions with my family, such as Christmas and birthdays. My parents are really different and I share different interests with both of them. I love going for walks and shopping with my mom, and also cooking with her and reading together, whereas with my dad I love traveling and talking about everything. My brother is one year younger than me and I love him so much. We grew up together since he’s only 13 months younger than me. We don’t share a lot of interests but we get along really well.

I’m a very positive and energetic person and I always smile at everyone. I’m very empathetic and joyful. I’d also consider myself as a really calm person, who’s always available and really sensitive. I have a really great sense of responsibility. I have a lot of hobbies and interests: first of all I go swimming twice a week. When I go swimming I feel very relaxed, as if for an hour I empty my mind and forget about everything else. I also really love reading, especially in english: I love all kinds of books, I really like thrillers and coming-of-age novels though. Another hobby is cooking, it’s nothing serious, but I just really love spending my free time cooking something; most of the time I cook with my mom, who taught me how to cook the most delicious dishes. However, I also enjoy eating all kinds of food: Italian food, sushi, hamburgers, pizza and I can’t wait to go there to try other food I haven’t tried here. I also listen to music quite a lot, in fact, whenever I feel stressed or nervous about something, I just turn my music on.

Family, as well as friends, is really important to me. My parents always support me in everything, no matter what. When I need support, advice or anything else they are always there. I hope that this experience will help me improve my personality and maybe become more extrovert.
