Hi family! The first thing I wanted to do is saying thank you for taking your time in reading this letter. My name is Faia. I live in a house on the countryside with my parents and my two little sisters. I am an independent girl and I am also very perfectionist and exigent with myself, I always try to do my best in every aspect of my life. I am a brave person who is always trying to protect her loved ones. I am a very empathic person too, I will always try to put myself in other people’s shoes. I always try to help everyone, it doesn´t matter if I really know that person. My biggest weakness is that I always want to have everything under my control and sometimes it´s not possible, but I’m working on manage in a better way this. In my free time, I love to do rythmic gymnastics, it´s my favourite sport and I’ve been practicing it since I was six years old. I practice this sport three hours a day, six days a week. I am keen on dancing and doing other sports, but gymnastics is my favourite by far. I also love doing plans that are related to nature: I live near a forest and I always go there to relax. I really enjoy staying at home with my family or my friends and watching a tv serie or just talking to them. My favourite food are Spanish omelette, croquettes and lasagna. I love any kind of pasta as well. I also really love to travel. In fact, when I was young I used to go to Portugal every summer with my family and my parents´ friends. I hope I will learn much more than just a language during this experience. I hope I will learn a lot about myself and I will improve many personal skills like independence, emotional management, maturity and responsibility. I will meet a lot of people with different traditions and cultures, so that will increase my cultural knowledge and it will open my mind to new things. So, I have the feeling that a complete new world opens to me thanks to this experience and thanks to you, for taking me in consideration for being another member of your family for a whole year. Hope to hear from you soon. Kind regards, Faia |
