Hello future host family!

In this letter I wanted to tell you how happy I would be to spend a year in the United States, with your family!

My family consist in two separated parents and a stepsister, with whom I have a good relationship. I spend every other week with them.
I like playing cards with them, travelling, visiting cities, seeing exhibitions or go shopping. My family is very important to me, and together we have had amazing adventures on holidays, both at the seaside with my father and in Berlin with my mother.

I love doing sports like boxing. While I’m practicing it, I can say that I learn a lot in the ring, such as discipline and determination which I then try to apply in my everyday life too. I have played basketball, soccer and swimming. I like listening to music, reading books or comics, watching films, playing videogames and hanging out with friends. Like every Italian, I like pizza and pasta, I also like sausage and beans or chili.

Apart from boxing, I love spending time with my friends who share my passion for sports and music. I also love scouting, which I have been doing since I was 8 years old. I think I have a strong personality, maybe at the beginning I’m a little shy, but I get comfortable very quickly. I’m pretty confident. Sometimes I just might be a bit annoying without realizing it.
If something really interests me, I can go on talking for a long time.
I really like making people laugh with jokes.

During the holidays I like to go visiting foreign countries, go to the seaside and to the mountains or go camping and hiking with friends. The most important traditions for me are Christmas and summer holidays, where we go either to the seaside or visit other cities.

The decision to go to study in the United States was born from the desire to grow and learn from a different culture. I am convinced that every challenge, whether in the ring or in everyday life, make us stronger.
With my Host Family, I would like to share my passion for boxing if I had the chance to and without many pretensions, just to create a nice bond. I want to introduce them to my culture and my countries.

In conclusion, I just wanted to say thank you to the host family for the opportunity you will give me. I’m really excited about this adventure.
