My name is Gerard and I am a Spanish boy. I have been studying in one of the most prestigious schools in my city for three years.
During my life, I have had the pleasure to enjoy many trips in which I have met many people and learned from their cultures. One of those trips was to the USA and since then I’ve always wished to live there so I can enjoy the culture, that is one of the main reasons why I decided to enroll in the program.
During the 11 months that I will be living in the States, getting to know and establishing a long-lasting relationship with you is one of my goals. Meeting new people with whom to have great experiences and improve myself both in the personal and academic realms is one of my objectives too. I’m a fun and extroverted guy that loves enjoying time with friends. I always follow my dreams and never give up when faced with a problem.
Digital design and photography are some of the activities that motivate me. Within the field of photography, nature is one of the things I like to photograph the most. I also love science, especially astronomy, which I discovered recently during a trip to a village in the center of Spain, where the light pollution was so low that you could see the Milky Way. Since then I have been very passionate about following my dream of studying that science.
At this moment skiing is one of the sports I like the most, but I hope to find one that truly fulfills me when I get to the USA.
Let me tell you a little bit about my everyday schedule. From Monday to Friday I wake up at 7.30am, afterward, I get ready for school and at 8.00am I take the bus that takes me there, where I stay from 9.00am to 5.00pm and I finally get home at 6.00pm. During the week, I spend my afternoons doing homework and working on personal projects.
On weekends I practice one of my favorite activities, which is spending time with my family. Even though we are not a large family, we share a very wide range of hobbies, such as going to the cinema or motorbiking. The four of us love to travel and discover new cultures, that has driven us to many places such as Thailand, Dubai, Rome and my favorite one, New York.
During the time I would spend with you, I would really like to feel like I’m with family. Furthermore, I would like to learn from your culture and continue and improve my English and the hobbies that I am fond of and drive me in the scholar and personal habits. Last but not least, thanks for taking the time to read my letter. I am really looking forward to meeting you.
