Dear Host Family,

My name is Jakub (16) and I am excited about the opportunity to become an exchange student in the USA. I hope this letter gives you a better idea of who I am and what I can bring to your family.

I come from Czech Republic and live in small city close to the capital with my family. I live in a family house with a garden with my mom, dad, younger sister, younger brother and two cats. I like animals and I would like to have a dog too. I spend time with my parents and siblings on weekends and holidays. We like to do sports and go on trips. In the winter, we go skiing in the mountains, in the summer, we go to nature or to the sea.

I am currently studying high school at Prague. Because I enjoy sports, I am studying a field focused on sports management. I would describe myself as a friendly, cheerful and open minded. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and play sports. In the summer, I am busy with our softball team and in the winter I like snowboarding and skiing. My favorite sport is also basketball. I am also passionate about fashion as well as about music. I like to go to a concert or the cinema. My favorite foods include pizza and fast food. I help my mom with cooking and can cook some simple meals. I prepare snacks to school every day.

The main reason I want to join this exchange program is to experience life in the USA, improve my English, to be more independent on my family and try to live in a different country. I am excited to meet new people and try new activities.
